Even more exciting is the news that he will be releasing another album!!!

According to Soompi: Lee Jun Ki will be releasing a new single album, “Deucer,” in Japan during March. The name “Deucer” is in reference to Lee Jun Ki’s belief that his post-army career is his second one, and this single celebrates a new beginning. The title off this album, which holds four songs total, will be the song “Together.”

Ladies, the time has finally come!!!

Two years without him ... so heartbreaking! But now Lee Jun Ki is preparing to be discharged from the army!!!

Full-scale party going on here, lol.

Apparently he will be discharged on February 16th! OMG!

on NATE: Lee will be discharged from National Defense at 8:00 a.m. on the 16th of this month in Yongsan, Seoul. His Agency officials on the 6th said that "Lee Jun Ki is in good health" and "he will try to work with even deeper passion on on his acting projects and greeting his fans."
Lee has been serving currently in the military as part of the Armed Forces Information Service PR Assistance Force and has been diligently performing his duties.
He will hold a commemorative event for the fans at Sangmyung Art Center, Seoul at 15:00 on the day called 'Reunion JG'. Tickets for this event sold out within 60 seconds. The fan meeting tour in Japan is called 'COMING BACK' and will occur in March.

I know there's been a lot of stuff about the place over whether these lyrics are a message to JYJ, but seriously, come on guys. For one thing, HoMin were given this song and told to make it by SME, that hardly makes it a message from the boys, does it? For another, it would be really stupid to upset the fans like that even if it was what they felt, which I don't believe it is.
Do you really think Yunho and Changmin are that kind of people? While JYJ sing songs like W, would they really be telling the world JYJ are dead to them? I don't think so. Everything HoMin have said has been about making the fans proud and doing the right thing, and I love them for it.

As promised, the info on HoMin's Japanese single release.

Also called WHY? (Keep Your Head Down), due to release on January 26th.

I am guessing as this is a single there will also be a Japanese version release of the Korean album later, possibly with the extra, 11th song? I don't know, it's just the sense I got from the info about the Korean album on YesAsia. But no more details yet.

The lack of information about the Japanese single is astounding, but here is what there is:

After approximately one year of inactivity, TVXQ from South Korea, of course, for the first time in about a year long-awaited throughout Asia, Dong Bang Shin Ki's "YUNHO" and "CHANGMIN" release their first single! I have been failing as a blogger lately, I know. Totally busy with work (real life sucks, huh? ^_~) and stuff. Plus everything I ever saw about DBSK was totally depressing, so I went into hiding, lol.

I just HAVE to share the news about the HoMin comeback though! XD

Now, you may be aware that I am A CRAZED MIN FAN... and so I am a little bit excited!!!!!!!!!

They are supposedly realeasing an album in Korea on January 5th.

A Japanese single release follows on January 26th.

A lot has been made about how they are using the name DBSK, and I have to admit I was bitterly disappointed myself when I saw that the "DBSK COMEBACK!" headline only meant HoMin... but it's not exactly HoMin's fault, is it? Afterall, that kind of decision rests with SME.

Everywhere I look, supposed Cassies seem to be arguing over whether JYJ/HoMin are trying to replace DBSK.

WHAT HAPPENED TO ALWAYS KEEP THE FAITH, FOR GOODNESS SAKE???????

I wanted to post these pictures, because I think we SHOULD be excited about a HoMin comeback if we truly claim to be fans of DBSK. It doesn't mean we can't keep hoping that we will see DBSK together as 5 again!

And then I wanted to post this article from hellokpop, because when I read it, it made my day.

Maybe the people with doubts about JYJ and HoMin will believe what the JYJ members have to say.

On December 20th, members of JYJ expressed their wishes to continue as a 5 member TVXQ.

JYJ recently met with Money Today Star News and expressed that

“It’s unfortunate to be working as two different groups. It’s frustrating now, but wish that everything goes well for the both of us”.

As it stands, JYJ formed after JaeJoong, Junsu and Yuchun broke off of SM entertainment‘s contract, while Yunho and Changmin recently decided to form a duo, continuing the name of TVXQ.

TVXQ (Yunho and Changmin) will be releasing their album in January and will meet their fans on stage after a 2 year and 3 months hiatus. Their comeback using the name “TVXQ” as a duo has brought on the wrath of many netizens. Many are against the idea while only a few are supporting.

Yuchun expressed his frustration by stating that,

“Even now, we (TVXQ) are still a 5 member group and it is not important who uses the name “TVXQ”.”

Junsu added that,

“We feel frustrated and unfortunate but they (Yunho and Changmin) must feel the same. Even though there is an inevitable wall between us, we must do well so that neither of us embarrasses the other.”

The reporter lastly asked if there is a possibility for TVXQ to reunite? The three members of JYJ answered with determination,

“If it was in our power, we would do so even this moment. We always have the possibility open.”

If the boys can still keep faith, why can't Cassiopeia?

As a DBSK fan I love Junsu, Yoochun, Jaejoong, Changmin and Yunho individually, as well as loving the group DBSK. Surely it should be obvious that the only people it matters to who uses the name TVXQ is SME??? For the rest of us, we should be content with the boys happiness.

The joy of watching Super Junior has been somewhat dampened for me since Hankyung quit SME, because I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE HIM.

Though I am glad he has escaped SM, because he is too good for them. AVEX is releasing a DVD set!

Called 3hree Voices, it shows Jaejoong, Junsu and Yoochun on their trips round the world.

Remember hearing of Jaejoong in Canada and Junsu in Australia? Well this is the reason! ^_^ Each member has a 50 minute segment about their trip - Yoochun's trip was to Seoul.

There is also a forth DVD in the set with 30 minutes of offshot movie and stuff.

Here is the preview! It looks AWESOME!

Been wondering what the guys from Fahrenheit have been up to lately? I know I have. ^_^

Jiro has been making a photobook!

Remember he visited Holland lately, and was delayed there due to the volcanic ash affecting flights? (My post is HERE.)

Well, he was there shooting for his new book, called Van Gogh and Me.

...Yep, that would be why Holland then. XD

Jiro also says that Holland is his mother's favourite country, because of the scenic windmills and tulips. Aww.

Whatever is going on with SME at the moment (and who really knows what THEY are up to, hey?) regarding DBSK and the lawsuit, Junsu, Yoochun and Jaejoong are continuing to work for Avex.

First off, Junsu is releasing a solo single, expected to release on May 26th:

Avex are certainly pulling out all the stops to make this work, which is great news. I mean, DBSK themselves have only just managed a Dome concert together, and Avex are confident enough that JYJ can have one straight away.

I am really happy that the boys are still releasing stuff and holding concerts, because I have really missed them during this quiet patch! And forming JYJ shows that they still choose to stick together as a group, as much as they can.

It feels a little odd seeing the three of them together without Yunho and Changmin... but I keep hoping for what the future could bring, and wish the boys all the success in the world for their separate projects in the meantime. ^__^

He enlisted for his Military Service on Monday May 3rd.

His military service consists of 5 weeks training and then 20 months service.

I have waited what seems like FOREVER for an English sub for this, but I just cannot find one on YT. Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough... Whatever, I have translated the Spanish subtitles I COULD find for your enjoyment. XD

Please bear in mind, this has now been translated from Japanese to Spanish to English, and who knows, may have gone through Chinese as well at some point in there, so it might not be entirely accurate. I have done my best! ^_~

Lately Yunho has been involved in the Michael Jackson tribute concerts, which involved training in LA, and concerts in Korea. Changminnie even came to the concert to support him. XD

I know some fans were disappointed with the sales figures as the fan project was to sell 500K, but to me, these figures are AMAZING. In total, Stand By U sold 230,397 copies, remember this is only the THIRD DAY since BREAK OUT! was released! I would be thrilled if we can just make the single platinum!

To be honest, I am happy just knowing that they've broken all their own records AGAIN. ^___^ I think that is enough to prove to the world that their fans have been KEEPING THE FAITH and that our love is only growing stronger.

Really.

They could give me pretty much anything at the minute, as I'm climbing the walls with DBSK withdrawal, but this. IT'S A MASTERPIECE.

It's a bit dark, a bit creepy (look out for those walls, Jaejoongie! o_O), the backing dancers are like something from your nightmares, and Junsu meets himself as an old dude... AVEX gets about 20 out of 10 for concept and orignality here.

That's before I even mention how AMAZING the guys are all looking.

In some ways the video seems to not quite fit the upbeat song, but then I think that's the point. TIMES ARE DARK MY FRIENDS, but DBSK will not allow us to give up hope.

Changminnie flew out a few days back to start overseas filming for his drama Paradise Meadow. I believe he went initially to Brisbane, but is possibly in Sydney now.

Shortly afterwards, Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu ALSO flew out to Australia, together with Yoochun's brother!

Yunho is MIA somewhere... he got on a plane in Korea, but whether he flew to his hometown or to Sydney is not known. ^.^;

It's also not known exactly what the others (apart from Changminnie) are doing in Australia. Supporting Changminnie's filming? Taking a vacation? It has also been rumoured that they are shooting for a photobook, but there is no evidence of them all working together as five as yet.

Lucky break for Australian fans!!!!! ^_____^

I can really not believe this!

SM is FINALLY releasing Dating on Earth!!! o.O

(For those who are relatively new fans of DBSK - or those without the memory of an elephant or whatever - DBSK made the drama Dating on Earth years ago. Right between the Banjun Dramas and Vacation, I believe. We waited for the longest time for it to be released, and eventually I at least decided it must all have been a rumour, even though there were pictures of the guys shooting for it and everything!

The basic plot is that Yoochun marries his teacher, and his friend Jaejoong likes her too and it forms some kind of love triangle... this is my memory from long ago speaking! I may have misremembered. ^_^;)

It's being released direct to DVD with the Mirotic concert.

...Yes, you read that right, WITH THE MIROTIC CONCERT!

Finally!

Though... does that mean that the ones that were cancelled or didn't happen will NEVER happen
now?

Shame.

The DVD is out January 5th. They've been keeping this one quiet!!

Lee Jun Ki - childhood & pre-debut images to be aired!

Never-before-seen pictures of Korean actor Lee Jun-ki from his pre-debut days will be shown on MBC's cable channel on Thursday.

MBC every1 said in a press release today that its documentary program "Star: The Secret" will feature dozens of photographs of the Hallyu star from childhood days and before his debut.

The contents to be disclosed include profile shots of the actor taken for auditions and his voice work as a high-school deejay.

A former high school classmate was quoted as saying that "all the girls in school would swoon 'It's Lee Jun-ki, Lee Jun-ki; when he would host morning shows in his attractive, low voice" and that Lee later had to switch to a lunch-time show because it interfered with the students studies.

The program will also feature an anecdote about the actor's recent fan meeting fiasco in Taiwan, where the agency's president took off with funds for the concert and the star ended up paying for the whole event out of his pocket. The actor is quoted as saying, "I wanted to keep my word with the fans no matter what the cost."

Lee shot to instant stardom in 2005 playing a woman-like clown in the hit film "The King and the Clown" and was recently voted the most popular Korean Wave star in China.

He will star in the new TV series "Hero", set to air in Korea starting November 18, as a passionate reporter working for a third-rate magazine.

The episode of "Star" featuring Lee will be aired at midnight on Thursday.

DBSK - Information about SME contracts

Before you read this, I should offer the warning that I don't know how real this information is.

It could all be totally fake for all I know.

On the other hand, I think SME deserves all the bad feeling that is headed their way. >.<
Having said that, to business!

You may have heard on the grapevine earlier this week that SME had agreed to meet with various advisers and then draw up new contracts for its artists. SME's aim was manifestly to make the new contracts as close as possible to the old ones, but JUST LEGAL ENOUGH to prevent them from being sued for unlawful contracts again

Here is what has (supposedly!) been released about the SME contracts:

We will reveal the exclusive contract SM Entertainment holds with its celebrities. Although this contract is the one between TVXQ and SM, it can be inferred that it is almost a basis contract for all the others. Also, as SM stated that the income division for TVXQ was the best they offered, one can surmise that the content of the contracts of other groups such as Girls' Generation, Super Junior etc. will be worse.

In the contract, it states that TVXQ must pay for all of the expenses required for their activities and this implies the wages for their managers and road managers. "TVXQ must pay for their travel fees and rent fees, as well as their meals, make up and coordinators' wages, dance crew and any other stage crew costs. They must also pay for the wages of their managers' monthly wages (The wages of the manager is 800,000 per month and the wages of road managers is 600,000 per month, and this increases by 10% every year.)"

Exclusive Contract Periods - 'TVXQ' is 13 years and 'BoA' is 15 years

TVXQ's Kim Jaejoong finalized his contract with SM on May 14th, 2003, Kim Junsu on February 12th, 2000, and Park Yoochun on June 30th, 2003. There were five changes to the contract after this. The contract period was extended from 10 years to 13 years and the income division was slightly increased for the celebrity. However, the clauses regarding the extended contract or compensation which were ruled by the Courts as unlawful were not changed. The five changes of the contract occurred in December, 2003, February, 2007, March, 2007, October, 2008 and February of 2009.

If you look at the contract, it can be seen that SM holds almost no obligations. All there is for the agency to do is to take care of the group's popularity and tell them of their activities. On the other hand, TVXQ must follow the orders of the manager SM gives them, and cannot personally make any promises or contracts regarding activities. They cannot talk about the internal affairs of SM. If a show or performance has a setback for no special reason, TVXQ must compensate. They must make two full albums every year and must release an album six months before the termination of their contract and perform all activities diligently. TVXQ must get permission from SM to give any of their compositions or arrangements to a third party. But SM is allowed to give any SM singer TVXQ's compositions without the consent of TVXQ.

Although the income division aspect has improved, they do not receive any money until at least 50K copies are sold. If they sell 50K~100K, the group receives 2% of sales, sell 100K~200K and receive 3%, sell over 200K and they receive 5% of total sales. The group must then split this income. If the appearance on a show is not regular, SM receives all the money for publicity. If the contract is terminated for any reason, TVXQ must pay compensation worth three times the investment money and twice the amount of their forecast income as well. This also applies when both sides have agreed to the termination or when SM is the cause of the termination.

If this information is true, it's TOTAL MADNESS.

How could SME justify giving DBSK only at most 5% of their album sales if DBSK are the ones paying for EVERYTHING??? What the hell does SME need it for, I wonder?

It seems to me that if DBSK are expected to PAY for all this stuff, they should have some say in what happens. For instance, if they pay their manager's wages, they should choose who their manager is.

And all that **** about what happens if the contract is terminated, even if it's BECAUSE OF SME... well. If it's true, it's nothing more than SME chaining their artists to them by making it IMPOSSIBLE to get away, whatever SME may do.

DBSK - Courts reach a decision in lawsuit!!!!!

OMG, AT LAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All that Keeping Of The Faith has finally paid off!!!!!!!!!

The courts have reached a decision regarding DBSK, and they have decided that their contracts WERE at least partially unlawful!!!

We still don't know what that's going to mean long-term, especially with SM demanding an appeal... but it looks like good news for the boys, whahey! XD

Much attention has been put on SM Entertainment and its future actions as the Courts have sided with the three TVXQ members YoungWoong Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun and Xiah Junsu on the legal dispute between the three and their agency regarding their exclusive contract.

On the 27th, the Seoul District Courts partially accepted the exclusive contract suspension request against SM Entertainment submitted by Xiah Junsu, YoungWoong Jaejoong and Micky Yoochun.

To have the Courts partially accept the exclusive contract suspension request is to have the Courts decided that the contract between SM and the members of TVXQ is in fact unlawful. According to the decision of the Courts, SM is not allowed to interfere or question any individual activities of the three members or create contracts regarding group activities without the consent of the three members.

For now, SM has stated that the agency cannot accept the Courts' ruling. SM Entertainment released a notice stating "Although the entire contract was not suspended, the Courts stated that some parts of the contract was questionable and that is why we are submitting an appeal," and "Till now, we have kept some information from the media as the Courts requested that neither side be interacting with the press during the trial. Now we will reveal that information and release an official statement.

Unless an extremely controversial secret is revealed by SM Entertainment that could turn the tables, it can be said that the contract between SM and TVXQ has already been nullified.

The dilemma that SM faces now is the fact that the agency's other singers may attempt to leave the agency in the same method. TVXQ is not the only reason why SM is being so adamant and firm of their stance in this dispute. To state that conclusion first, there is close to no chance of TVXQ disbanding or ending their activities. This is because all three members involved in this dispute have no thoughts of leaving the group names TVXQ. Some representatives to the entertainment business stated that, "There is a high chance that SM and the three members will become equal partners regarding activities such as the release of a new album in the future."

The problem is how the two sides will fix the contract and the income division. Although the income SM receives from album sales or commercial activities will reduce, it is not so much that the company will run into bankruptcy.

The biggest problem for SM Entertainment is the fact that the majority of agencies works under a system that invests money to raise trainees into singers in a span of 1~7 years that does not guarantee profit after the singer's debut. In the case of TVXQ, if they are allowed to leave the agency stating that the contract was unlawful after gaining popularity, the agencies will have no incentive to continue on with this method of raising stars. This is also why the Fair Trade Committee constantly fails to come to a consensus with agencies when it comes to creating a basis contract.

The reason that SM is being carefully watched for its future actions regarding this trial and the consequences that follow is because this is not merely a problem between SM and TVXQ.

I am putting no faith in their scare tactics and rumour-mongering.

(I think at the moment they are trying to incite fans into thinking that Yunho and Changmin wish to stay with SME, while the other 3 will leave, hence disbanding DBSK. The boys themsleves have never said any such thing! If you read the article above, you will have seen that actually, Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu would not have cause to leave SME at all, so long as SME just accept the court's terms, which sound fair enough to me.)

SME have a lot to lose... they have a HUGE amount to lose with just DBSK possibly going elsewhere, let alone if their other acts decide to follow suit.

DBSK - DVD number 1 on Oricon!

Congratulations to DBSK for breaking YET ANOTHER record!!

This time it is for DVD sales! ^_^

Korean born, 5-member vocal group, Tohoshinki’s Live DVD 『4th LIVE TOUR 2009～The Secret Code～Final in TOKYO DOME』was released on 30th September. According to the 10/12 Oricon DVD Ranking, it sold 171,000 copies, their personal best for sales in this category. This is the first time in 20 years for a non-Japanese Asian Artist to get first place in the DVD rankings.

The only other foreign artists to have managed to get to number one were Led Zeppelin and The Beatles, so DBSK are doing amazingly to manage it too! Led Zeppelin were the last to do it, reaching number one back in June 2003.

Also, based on the sale numbers of their DVD on 29th September, they also broke their own personal record by pre-selling 107,000 copies. Their previous records include their 『3rd LIVE TOUR 2008～T～』which was released in August 2008 and was last recorded as having sold 112,000 copies, and 『All About 東方神起 Season 3』which sold 66,000 copies so far. This time, their DVD sold more than twice that amount with a total sales of 171,000 copies so far, and broke the record for the highest initial sales for foreign artists.

I AM SO EXCITED

Seems Jun Ki has been busy making a photobook in Thailand! XD

The book is called Sawasdee Khrab (hello in Thai if I am not mistaken).

This photo book was produced to commemorate the 50th year anniversary of the Korea Thailand Communication Centers (KTCC). With the backdrop of the best sights in Thailand, it will show Lee Junki promoting the idea of being able to relax and let loose from his hectic lifestyle. Following the launch in Thailand, Lee Junki will be promoting it from 5th October onwards in Korea, Japan before ending in China.

DBSK - Contract Dispute Update

I've been waiting desperately for news since the 11th, knowing that's when all the evidence had to be submitted by... but I guess there is no way of knowing how long these things will take in court for a decision to be made!

The decision regarding the legal dispute between three members of TVXQ and SM Entertainment will be made this month.

TVXQ Xiah Junsu (Kim Junsu). YoungWoong Jaejoong (Kim Jaejoong), Micky Yoohun (Park Yoochun) and SM Entertainments conferences to reach an agreement have broken down altogether.

In a phone conversation with Newsen on the 15th, the Courts stated, “Both sides submitted all relevant documents by September 11th. Both sides are not willing to back down from their positions so a mutual agreement doesn’t seem likely to occur any time soon,” and “After all the documents have been read and examined, both sides will be told of the results. We are not certain, but the decision will be made this month.”

TVXQ’s three members have been waiting for the verdict since September 11th when they submitted all documents relevant to the exclusive contract suspension request they filed against SM Entertainment. At the hearing, the Courts stated, “We will end the hearing for now and both sides must submit all relevant documents by September 11th which is in three weeks. We will examine these documents and come to a decision.”

An SME representative stated, “After submitting all documents in by the 11th, there is nothing we can do but wait. We do not know when exactly the verdict will be given.”

* It's expected to be airing in November! (Which will be when Yunho's drama, Heading to the Ground, finishes, I think.)

I figure it may be about time to update you on Yunho's drama, Heading to the Ground.

After months of rumours of its existence and rumours to the contrary, there are so many pictures and making of videos floating around that I have allowed myself to be convinced.

Plus, it is meant to start airing in September 9th! Which is not only an actual date, but NEXT WEEK. XD

I believe Lee Jun Ki's drama Hero (or Unseen Warfare, whichever) is scheduled to be shown in the same MBC slot on Wednesday and Thursday evenings once Heading to the Ground is finished.

DBSK - Cassiopeia boycott of SM goods

I've heard about this before... but here is the OFFICIAL STATEMENT from Cassiopeia about what is being boycotted and why:

It's pretty long, but basically they give these reasons for the boycott:

1. Sudden and pointless cancellation of the SMTown concert

2. Failure to listen to fans / provide a decent fanclub service

3. Unfair treatment of DBSK (regarding their contract, and including SM's response to the disute, which Cassiopeia see as emphasising the money issues to make DBSK look bad.)

The boycott is of ALL SM MERCHANDISE, and continues until SM gives some respect to the fans as consumers and pays attention to what they have to say, and DBSK's unfair contract is corrected.

Japanese releases are NOT being boycotted! Anything released by "Tohoshinki" is an Avex/Rhythm Zone release, and therefore not related to SME.

Feel free to join in with the boycott or not as you see fit. ^_^

DBSK - First court hearing

Latest news about DBSK's contract dispute with SM Entertainment:

TVXQ and SM Entertainment's first court hearing took place today August 21st, 2009 at 11:40am KST.

TVXQ's lawyer stated "TVXQ members are very upset about the entire situation, but hopes that the lawsuit will end well." In addition, "We do not want TVXQ to split up. And even if they do change management companies, there is still a chance that TVXQ will remain together."

SM Entertainment's lawyer stated, "There are no personal grudges against the members, however this lawsuit is an enormous loss to the company, therefore we wish to resolve this as quickly as possible and have TVXQ continue their activities." In addition, SME stated that, "In regards to the members running Chinese based cosmetics businesses, SM only intervened as it could potentially hurt their image. That was the only reason."

The 1 hour and 20 minute hearing over exclusive contract rights and improper compensation is now over, however all parties are required to submit all proof and documentation by September 12th, 2009, in order for the courts to make a final judgment.

Lee Jun Ki - New drama info! (Previously known as Unseen Warfare)

Seems like about time I posted some info about Jun Ki's latest drama, right?

Even though I guess everyone has seen this already!

Finally, some news on Lee Junki’s new drama, Hero [히어로], which was announced last year but has remained rather quiet. The drama was first titled “Strange Heroes,” then “Unseen War,” and is now back to “Hero,” although the production indicates it is a working title.

Cast as the female lead is Cain and Abel’s spunky Han Ji-min, who plays a passionate reporter with a strong sense of responsibility who often grows furious at social irregularities. Lee Junki’s a reporter who rushes recklessly into accidents and incidents without fear; he’s also a guy “who doesn’t have much, nor does he want much.” As ordinary citizens, the reporters stand up against the inequalities between society’s masses and its very elite.

Lee Junki and Han Ji-min have both had very good luck with their last few projects; his Time of Dog and Wolf and Iljimae were both action hits, while her Cain & Abel and Yi San both enjoyed good ratings. We’ll see if that luck continues when they combine forces in this latest project.

Hero will begin filming in September when it finishes casting. The series will air on Wednesdays and Thursdays on MBC this fall.

SMTown - Summer Album 09!

So, they may have cancelled the concert, but they still released an album!

It's not the whole of SMTown on here, just SuJu, DBSK and SHINee. The info from YesAsia tells you why the girls aren't on there:

After skipping out on 2008, SM Entertainment's popular SM Town compilation series returns in 2009 with 09 Summer SM Town.
Though it arrives amid controversy, 09 Summer SM Town gives fans plenty to be excited about. There are only four tracks this time, but they're delivered by Dong Bang Shin Ki, Super Junior, and SHINee!
The three super boy bands team up for the bright and breezy summer number Seaside Stopover (Boom Boom). The idol-powered mini-album continues with three more new summer songs, one from each group. Dong Bang Shin Ki offer 12:34 (Nothing Better), Super Junior keep things cheery with Carnival, and SHINee make their SM Town debut with SCAR.
And for those wondering what happened to the girls, they'll headline 09 Winter SM Town later in the year.

DBSK - rumours of members' acting projects!

I refer to these as RUMOURS, and I hope you will bear in mind that so far, that is all they are.

First... rumours that Changminnie will be appearing in the drama Paradise Meadows, apparently about a young divorced couple who discover that they might have another chance at working things out. This is from popseoul.com:

Chang-min will be making his official debut as an actor through the upcoming drama, “Paradise Ranch". The drama is a joint production between Sam-hwa Networks and SM Entertainment, and will be a romantic melodrama story drawn out on a romantic ranch in Je-ju Island. The writers for the drama are also look promising with Jang Hyun-ju, who is the co-author of the hit drama, “Coffee Prince“, and Suh Hee-jung, the author of the drama “Into the Sun“, working together.

Casting for the supporting roles, including Chang-min’s love interest, and the air date of the drama have yet to be scheduled. However, it has already been agreed that “Paradise Ranch” will broadcast abroad in Japan and the Southeast Asia region. Production for “Paradise Ranch” will begin sometime at the end of August.

There is also a rumour that Yunho had been cast as the lead in soccer drama Heading to the Ground.

HOWEVER.

Not only does it seem that Jun Ki's new drama, Suspicious Heroes, has replaced Heading to the Ground in the autumn schedules... but there was also at some stage a categoric DENIAL from the makers of Heading to the Ground that Yunho had been so much as considered for the role, let alone actually cast.

So.

While DBSK members in dramas would be AWESOME, don't get your hopes up. There have been far more false rumours and disappointments than there have been genuine dramas! Dating on Earth, anyone? Or Snow Flower, the last drama Changmin was supposed to be in?
The guys are so incredibly busy... it's amazing how they'd find time to shoot a drama.

Still... I guess Jaejoong managed Heaven's Postman! ^_^

And it is Regions 1 and 3, so HAPPY DAYS if you live in the US! Totally sucks if you live in the UK like me, but whatever, this is PROGRESS!!!!!! And I guess they will never put Region 2 on the Korean one when there is a super expensive Region 2 Japanese one to buy instead. >.< From YesAsia at least, it also comes with a photobook (6o pages) and a poster!

And all this for half the price of the Japanese one. What a total ripoff.

DBSK - contract disputes with SM Entertainment

I'm back! Whahoo.

And guess what I find when I get home?

DBSK in the midst of MASSIVE contract disputes with SM Entertainment.

Gee, I just can't leave things for five minutes without missing something, can I?? o_O;;;;;;;;

So. The details for those of you that have not seen them yet:

Seems Junsu, Yoochun and Jaejoong are all suing SM over their contracts... the details are hazy! But what it seems to be about is the contracts being too controlling (we always knew SM contracts were like that, huh?) and limiting them from doing what they wanted. Possibly about SM taking too much of the profits, too...

What this means is... SM has CANCELLED the SM Town concerts. >.<

Don't ask me why, I would be FURIOUS if I had managed to get tickets! And it makes it look to be DBSK's fault, when I'm sure they would be happy to perform for their fans.

I think some people are worrying that DBSK are fighting against each other (because only three members are suing) but they still all live in the same house! (Except Yoochun, who lives with his family.) So... I don't think that's likely. ^_^;

As for long term what it could mean... seriously, I don't think DBSK are gonna disband. They are WAY too popular, and they are carrying on activities in Japan regardless. So even if they can't sort things out with SM, I think they'd just work for someone else.

Who WOULDN'T want to sign DBSK?? They're like a money tree. XD

Which is another good reason why SM wouldn't want to let them get away.

Wow, though, the tension is quite something. ^_^;;;

Wow! News of a new DBSK single, woot!!!!!

COLORS - Melody and Harmony -

Apparently, it's another composition by Jaejoong and Yoochun... ^_^
This one they first performed as a duet during the Tokyo Dome concerts, and now it's gonna be a single!

It's due out on September 30th, which is the same day as the Tokyo Dome concert DVD. XD

As usual, the DVD has the offshot movie.

The song is also gonna be used as the image song for Hello Kitty's 35th anniversary. ^_^

Starting from September, the song will be played as the background music in various Sanrio, founder company of Hello Kitty, stores.
The subject of “COLORS Melody and Harmony” is the colors that form Hello Kitty. The colors red, representing friendship, pink, representing cute, yellow, representing heartful, green, representing wish and lavender, which represents sweet, are all the subject.

SM TOWN Live 09!

Performers at the SM Town summer concert have been revealed!!!

They include DBSK and SuJu... BoA is busy in America, so she can't attend.

The concert will be in Seoul on Sunday August 16th, starting at 5pm.

Preorders of tickets begin TODAY, July 23rd...
